Daphne Sucevic
The Female Empowerment Foundation is proud to recognize Daphne Sucevic as one of this year's FEFA Award recipients for her outstanding commitment to community service, civic engagement, leadership, and the arts.
Daphne's dedication to serving others began in middle school through her volunteer work at the Southampton and Feasterville Libraries, where she contributed throughout her freshman year of high school. Inspired by the important role education has played in her own life, Daphne sought to give back to the institutions that fostered her love of learning. Her responsibilities included assisting with children's "Fun Friday" craft programs and supporting community library events. Through these experiences, Daphne developed a strong understanding of teamwork and the lasting impact of service.
Daphne has also demonstrated a deep commitment to helping those in need through her volunteer efforts with the Jewish Relief Agency, where she assisted with packaging and delivering essential supplies to low-income families throughout the Philadelphia region. Her compassion for others and willingness to serve have remained consistent throughout her journey.
Beginning in 2024, Daphne expanded her community involvement through civic engagement initiatives, participating in voter outreach, canvassing efforts, poll operations during primary and general elections, event preparation, and campaign logistics. These experiences reinforced her belief in the importance of active citizenship and public participation.
Daphne has also supported initiatives focused on health education and accessibility by volunteering with an organization dedicated to distributing free menstrual products throughout Bucks County while promoting awareness and education surrounding menstrual health. Through this work, she helped address an important community need while advocating for greater dignity and accessibility.
In addition to her community service, Daphne has made a significant impact through her involvement in the performing arts and student leadership at Neshaminy High School. Since her freshman year, she has been an active member of the Winter Musical and Concert Choir, participating in fourteen productions while serving as stage manager for two. Her dedication to the arts led to her role as Secretary of the Drama Program, where she helped organize Theatre in Our Schools Month initiatives, utilized social media to promote arts education, and advocated for the importance of creative programs within schools and communities.
Daphne's talent, preparation, and teamwork were further recognized when she and her improv partner earned first place in the Duo Improv Competition at the Pennsylvania State Thespian Conference during her senior year. Through the performing arts, Daphne has developed valuable skills in leadership, collaboration, creativity, and confidence.
Academically, Daphne is a Distinguished Honor Roll student, AP Scholar, and recipient of the American Legion Award. Her dedication to academic excellence and service reflects her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the world.
This fall, Daphne will attend George Washington University to study Political Science, where she plans to continue developing her understanding of government, public policy, and civic leadership while preparing for a future dedicated to public service.
